About TubeType

Videos, turned into knowledge you can read.

TubeType is an online software service that connects YouTube captions and speech to AI-readable source evidence. It helps you summarize videos, create detailed reports, ask questions and discuss the arguments in ChatGPT or Claude.

Service information and examples are public. Google signup and FREE access are open. Paid subscriptions and top-ups are coming soon.

What you can do with TubeType

How do you connect the video’s content?

TubeType uses MCP (Model Context Protocol) to provide transcript evidence and timestamps to AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. Your connected AI writes summaries, reports and answers based on the available source, rather than guessing from a title.

We first check available source caches and captions. If there are no captions, we explain speech transcription and its usage charge and ask for consent. An explicit speech transcription request is processed directly. Only successful work is charged.

Retrieval is not guaranteed for all videos or restricted videos. Captions and speech recognition may contain errors. Verify important numbers and statements using timestamp links to the original.

Which services can I connect?

TubeType works mainly with ChatGPT and Claude. MCP server address: https://mcp.tubetype.com/mcp. A separate account and access are required. New registration and connection requests are not accepted on this information site.

TubeType is an independent service. ChatGPT is provided by OpenAI, and Claude by Anthropic. Brand names identify supported integrations.

Your plan and history

We are preparing FREE, BASIC, PLUS and PRO plans with usage, history and subscription management. Paid enrollment is not available. Viewing this page or its examples does not start a subscription or a charge.

History storage is off by default. With consent, video titles, links, status and charges are saved for 93 days. Turning storage off deletes that history. Source cache retention is separate. This information site has no sign-in or video-link input.

Current and future features

The discussion feature uses evidence from the video you requested. Cross-video speaker knowledge is being developed and validated separately and is not available as a public feature.
